Annual Membership Increase

After much consideration, the Island Lakes Residents Group (ILRG) has voted on a Membership increase from $10.00 to $20.00 effective May 26, 2012.  A full 2 page flyer will be mailed shortly to all residents with full explanations as well as discounted options for multi-year memberships.  It is important to note, the Membership Fee has not increased in over 10 years, and with estimated costs doubling for a project, we hope this will allow us to implement them quicker.

Membership DRAW Prize

We are thrilled to announce (and thank) Brent Martin from The Martin Team with ReMax for donating our First Membership Draw Prize.  Brent has generously donated Two Hot Air Balloon Rides!!!  The draw will be made during the Board's monthly meeting on Monday, June 18th at 7:30 pm in the Community Room at Island Lake School.  ALL memberships paid from October 1, 2011 to Sunday, June 17th will be eligible, with the exception of all Board members being exempt from the draw.

 About Island Lakes
Island Lakes is located in South East Winnipeg, at the corner of Bishop Grandin and Lagimodiere. It provides easy access to major crosstown routes and is only a few minutes from St. Vital Centre. This development began in 1985 when Novamet Development Corp. developed the 580-acre Island Lakes subdivision, which today has about 2,500 homes.
The elementary school opened in the fall of 2001. Adjacent to the school is a 16-acre park with tennis courts, basketball hoops and baseball diamonds. The neighborhood's lakeside walkways have always been a popular feature for joggers, cyclists and strollers, and the lakes are always popular with canoeists. For lovers of nature and birdwatchers, the community has a five-acre natural grass area planted with native prairie species. Enjoy our parks with playground equipment, baseball diamonds and large green areas for fun.
